In mid-September, our HR department, in collaboration with the relevant specialist teams, will meticulously review your application and reach a decision.

Invitation to an Introductory Day

If you’re applying for an industrial apprenticeship, you’ll have the chance to spend two days familiarizing yourself with your future workplace. This is where you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your talents and motivation, while also getting to know the team and department.

Applicant Day (Optional)

In cases where we receive a substantial number of applications, we organize an Applicant Day for all potential trainees and dual students. Here, you’ll get a firsthand experience of KW automotive through a company presentation, interviews, and a written recruitment test assessing your proficiency in mathematics, German, and English.

All Questions about the Dual Study Program at KW automotive

How does the dual study program work?

The dual study program operates through a combination of theoretical and practical phases. Over six semesters, you will alternate between attending the DHBW and gaining practical experience at our company.

What is the application deadline for the dual study program?

To apply for a dual study place, please ensure your application reaches us one year prior to the commencement of your studies, preferably by the conclusion of the previous year’s summer vacation.

Where will I be studying?

We currently partner with DHBW locations in Stuttgart and Mosbach. Your theoretical phases will take place at one of these two locations.

Is a semester abroad possible?

If your study program allows it, we would be delighted to facilitate a semester abroad for you. Simply keep an eye out for relevant opportunities at your university.

Can I apply for multiple degree programs?

Please apply for only one degree program. If you’re uncertain about which program suits you best, you can complete an internship with us or speak with our dual students for guidance.

Where can I work after completing my dual studies?

Upon completing your dual studies, you’ll be equipped with a broad set of soft and hard skills for the professional world. As a dual student at KW, there are numerous suitable positions available. Feel free to explore our job openings.

Our apprentice salary aligns with industry standards recommended by the Heilbronn-Franken IHK. Our students receive individual performance bonuses, holiday and Christmas bonuses, and year-end gratuities. Furthermore, meeting company targets can lead to additional bonuses, and there are opportunities for capital-forming benefits.

What is the retention rate and what career prospects do I have?

Our aim is to extend employment offers to our students upon successful completion of their studies. Currently, our retention rate stands at nearly 100%.
