The personal connection between Ingo, Klaus & Jürgen Wohlfahrt goes back to their early years, which the three spent together as friends in kindergarten and school in the Swabian Forest.

Entry at KW
After completing his apprenticeship as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant in the Thyssen Group and gaining initial professional experience in pipe sales, Ingo decided to leave the safe haven for KW automotive in 1997. There he seized the opportunity to pursue a career in the automotive sector. As the first commercial employee at KW automotive, Ingo was a universal talent with an affinity for IT applications and was responsible for sales, order entry and incoming payments, among other things.

Career Path
As KW automotive continued to grow, Ingo progressively got larger and more significant responsibilities. Beginning as a quality management representative, he spearheaded the expansion of the North American business and implemented numerous process optimizations through organizational and structural projects.In recognition of his contributions, Ingo has ascended to the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) on the management board at KW automotive. With a focus on IT & web development, his portfolio also encompasses production control and process management. Ingo’s journey exemplifies the ethos of KW automotive’s culture, where approximately 80% of our workforce has been nurtured from within the management team itself.
